CRYOPRESERVATION OF IN VITRO GROWN SHOOT TIPS OF AN INTERSPECIFIC PRUNUS ROOTSTOCK BY SLOW PREFREEZING METHOD
The Prunus genus includes many species, which are economically very important in temperate regions.
The aim of this work, preliminary carried out with cv Ferlenain and Fereley by Brison, et al. (1995), is to study the different parameters involved in each step of the cryopreservation procedure in order to have a better control and understanding of the occurring mechanisms.
This work also aims to establish a reliable method, adaptable to other Prunus species.
