RADI-STIM - A NEW BIOREGULATOR FOR RAPID VEGETATIVE MULTIPLICATION OF THE PLANTS
Present paper illustrates the effect of RADI-STIM, in 4 variants, on the rooting of cuttings of some species of fruit trees. Rooting experiments were carried out with apical and subapical green cuttings, in the period of intensive growth of young shoots, using artificial mist. For the same species the preparation acts specifically, depending on variety, but always the rate of rooting is net superior to untreated control: plum tree (97–57%), cherry tree (80.9–40%), pear tree (46.4–38.4%).
Appropriate use of RADI-STIM gives considerable advantages: decreases the rate of cuttings withering; increases the rate of rooting and the quality of root system; helps to establish difficult- to - root cuttings; markedly reduces the mortality produced by basal roots.
