REACTION OF APRICOT PHENOTYPES FROM NATIONAL COLLECTION TO THE MONILINIA LAXA (ADERH. ET RUHL.) HONEY INOCULUM

V. Balan, St. Toma, M. Oprea
The apricot genofund belonging to the collection of Breeding Laboratory was tested at the Research Station for Fruit Tree Growing Baneasa - Bucharest on pathogenic action of the fungus Monilinia laxa, using a method of artificial infection of trees, under the unproper climatic conditions for natural disease start.

A high percentage (84 %) manifested susceptibility to this pathogen following inoculation in 123 hybrid combinations and apricot cultivars. From the material under test 16 % exhibited tolerance, as follows: very resistant (AL% -0) - K55-39 ; resistant

(AL % - 0,5–12,0) - B9 R30 AT172, Precoce de Italia, R.R.22-124 ; medium resistant (AL%–12,5–20) - Piestany 9/85, B 9 R29 AT100, Bergeron and Tivoli.
