COMPARATIVE ASSAYS OF THE ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY BETWEEN TWO SPECIES OF TAGETES (ASTERACEAE)
Tagetes pusilla and T. minuta are two native species from the Argentine NW which are used in popular medicine since memorial time.
Based in the same pattern of flavonoids of these two species and the positive results against several microorganism of extracts from T. minuta, antimicrobial tests with T. pusilla have been made, giving quite different results from T. minuta. The difference in antimicrobial activity between these two species is discussed in this work.
