IDENTIFICATION OF CULTIVARS AND CERTIFICATION OF HYBRIDS IN MANGO (MANGIFERA INDICA LINN.) BY ISOENZYME GENE MARKERS
The genotypes of four mango (Mangifera indica Linn.) cultivars i.e., Khiew Sawoey, Nam Dok Mai, Nang Klang Wan, Rad and progenies from 20 controlled crosses among mango cultivars were identified by using isoenzyme gene markers.
The results showed that the four mango cultivars could be identified by putative DIA-C and IDH-A gene loci.
The progenies of some controlled crosses could be identified whether they are true hybrid deriving from the embryo, by those 2 putative gene loci.
