INCIDENCE AND SEVERITY OF MANGO FLOWER MALFORMATION IN BAHIA STATE, BRAZIL
The present work was carried out in the main mango production region of Bahia State, Brazil, during the flowering season of 1998. The purpose of the study was to verify the incidence and severity of mango malformation of cultivar Tommy Atkins.
About ten percent of total area cultivated with mango trees were selected in the main counties of Bahia State.
From the obtained results some conclusions were drawn: a) flower malformation presented on incidence of 54% in Bahia State mango orchards, b) malformation severity was 17%.
