APPLICATION OF VARIOUS MOLECULAR METHODOLOGIES TO THE CHARACTERIZATION OF ROOTSTOCKS AND TABLE GRAPEVINES

M. Crespan, N. Milani
Thirty largely spread rootstocks were characterized at isoenzymatic level by means of GPI and PGM systems. New alleles and new patterns were described with reference to the data already present in literature. Furthermore, twelve well known seeded and seedless table grapevines were analyzed with isoenzymes, RAPD-PCR and on nine microsatellite tagged sites. These last markers allowed to verify the origin of the cultivar Italia, obtained by Prof. Pirovano crossing Bicane x Moscato d'Amburgo.
