INFLUENCE OF OXYGEN CONCENTRATION ON RESPIRATION AND OXYGEN PARTIAL PRESSURE IN TISSUE OF BROCCOLI AND CUCUMBER
It is known that decreasing the O2 concentration in the storage atmosphere diminishes the respiration of plant organs.
The effects of O2 levels on the respiration of the products have been examined for many crops, in order to determine their low oxygen limits (Kubo et al., 1996). The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of decreased O2 concentrations on respiration and O2 partial pressure in tissues of broccoli and cucumber.
