In Israel, the drive to harvest seedless table grapes as early as possible in order to take advantage of favorable export markets often results in fruit of less than optimum flavor. This study was undertaken to determine maturity standards to enable growers and packinghouse operators to prevent marketing of poor-quality fruit. Standards were developed for harvesting ‘Superior’, ‘Prime’ and ‘Mystery’ grapes.
