AROMA EVALUATION OF APPLE FRUITS FROM DIFFERENT ITALIAN GROWING LOCATIONS
Environmental conditions can influence Golden Delicious apple quality showing better qualitative characteristics from higher altitudes (Rizzolo et al., 1990). Prolonged periods of controlled atmosphere storage reduce qualitative differences between apples coming from different growing locations (Ferrandino et al., 1999). In the present work the effect of environmental conditions on apple quality and on aromatic compound concentration was investigated.
