PROMISING HIGHBUSH BLUEBERRY AND LINGONBERRY SLECTIONS IN POLAND
A blueberry breeding program was started in 1975 at the Department of Pomology of the Warsaw Agricultural UniversitySGGW. The main objectives were to breed for: winter hardiness, productivity and early ripening.
Out of 11 promising hybrid selections, one has been named and registered as cultivar Bonifacy. Also, a selection of lingonberries from the wild has been continued.
A new cultivar Runo Bielawskie was named and released.
