A NEW PACKAGE TYPE FOR EXPORTED GLASSHOUSE TOMATOES

Under conditions of extending glasshouse area and of marketing an increased tomato quantity intended for export, better package and merchandise presentation are necessary.

The staff of the Research Institute for Marketing of Fruit and Vegetables designed a now package type made of corrugated board, whose technical and economic characteristics proved superior than those of the existing wood package.
