MEASUREMENTS OF MICROELEMENT CONTENT IN PEAR LEAVES AS A CONSEQUENCE OF FOLIAR SPRAYS WITH DIFFERENT CHELATES

A trial was performed to evaluate how applications of chelated elements affect the microelement content in “Abate Fétel” Pear leaves. EDTA, DTPA and LPCA were the chelating agents applied. Mixes of microelements and pure products were applied. The microelement content in leaves of untreated and one, two and three times treated plants was compared. Results show that chelated microelements based products are able to increase the element content in leaves and that the dynamics of microelements foliar absorption is not influenced by chelate application or type of chelating agent.
