EVALUATION OF FUNGICIDES AND TIMING OF APPLICATION FOR THE CONTROL OF CARNATION RUST IN SOUTHERN ITALY. (")

B. Aloj, A. Garibaldi
The results of two experimental trials on control of carnation rust carried out in Southern Italy are reported. The dithiocarbamates Zineb and Mancozeb, applied weekly, confirmed their excellent preventive action. Among the systemic fungicides benodanil and oxycarboxin, used as foliar spray at two-weekly intervals were more effective than when applied monthly by soil drenching. Triadimefon was phytotoxic.
