GENOTYPE IDENTIFICATION OF ONION (ALLIUM CEPA L.) CULTIVARS
Nine onion (Allium cepa L.) varieties (ZKI-1-9) were carried out by RAPD. The 23 of 25 RAPD primers applied showed monomorphic band patterns which revealed narrow genetic background of the varieties.
Nevertheless, primers OPB-06 (5'-ctg aag ctg g-3'), and RE-01 (5'-cgc gat ccg-3') detected molecular polymorphism which provided new molecular markers for genotype characterization of onion (ZKI-1 to 9).
