PEDIGREE ANALYSIS OF 'CHUANNONG NO.1' LOQUAT USING RAPD MOLECULAR MARKERS
Chuannong No.1 loquat (Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.) a new line developed recently, has an unknown pedigree, although the materials from which it was bred were known.
In this study, its parents were identified with RAPD technique.
Five primers selected from 80 random ones were used.
Forty-three bands were obtained, and 16 out of them were polymorphic.
Specific bands were found in both Chuannong No.1 and Dawuxing. Clustering analysis showed that Longquan No.5 (771) is likely the parent of Chuannong No.1.
