F. Jiang, S.Q. Zheng, H.Y. Gao, A.P. Huang, X.P. Chen
The contents of polysaccharides and flavones in the pulp, browse and old leaves differed significantly among different loquat cultivars of loquat (Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.). The highest polysaccharides content was found in the old leaves of ‘Xiaomao’ (1352.47 mg/100 g) and ‘Dahongpao’ (1185 mg/100 g) and in the browse of ‘Dahongpao’ (1052 mg/100 g). Flavone was highest in the old leaves of ‘Jianzuibai’ (2447 mg/100 g), ‘Dahongpao’ (1238 mg/100 g) and ‘Golden Nugget’ (1137 mg/100 g) and in the browse of ’Jianzuibai’ (1342 mg/100 g).
