POLYSACCHARIDES AND FLAVONES IN LOQUAT CULTIVARS
The contents of polysaccharides and flavones in the pulp, browse and old leaves differed significantly among different loquat cultivars of loquat (Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.). The highest polysaccharides content was found in the old leaves of Xiaomao (1352.47 mg/100 g) and Dahongpao (1185 mg/100 g) and in the browse of Dahongpao (1052 mg/100 g). Flavone was highest in the old leaves of Jianzuibai (2447 mg/100 g), Dahongpao (1238 mg/100 g) and Golden Nugget (1137 mg/100 g) and in the browse of Jianzuibai (1342 mg/100 g).
