There is an urgent need to increase food production in Nigeria.
Breadfruit is a crop with huge potential that is presently underutilized in the country.
This paper supports promotion of breadfruit as a strategic initiative towards achieving sustainable livelihoods and alleviating poverty in Nigeria.
