EFFECT OF LOW TEMPERATURE STRESS ON THE PHYSIOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL INDEXES IN CUCUMBER SEEDLING GRAFTED ON BUR CUCUMBER (SICYOS ANGULATUS L.)
The physiological and biochemical indexes were studied in cucumber seedlings grafted on bur cucumber (Sicyos angulatus L.) rootstocks, black seed pumpkin rootstocks and self-rooted cucumbers.
The results showed that the activities of SOD, POD, CAT and the content of Pro, soluble sugars in the cucumber seedlings grafted on bur cucumber rootstocks were higher than other two treatments, while the content of MDA was lower.
It illuminated the cucumber seedlings grafted on bur cucumber rootstocks can stand longer and more severe low temperature.
