INHERITANCE IN APRICOT (PRUNUS ARMENIACA L.) .PART III. THE STUDY OF SOME INHERITANCE CHARACTERS IN THE APRICOT PROGENY OF F1 GENERATION

S.A. Paunović, R. Plazinić
These investigations were conducted at the Fruit Research Institute, Čačak, during the period 1970-1976. In the breeding programme (1970) were included eight apricot crosses, as follows: Kecskemeter Rose x Henderson, Kecskemeter Rose x California, Kecskemeter Rose x Hungarian Best, Hungarian Best x Henderson, Hungarian Best x California, Hungarian Best x Kecskemeter Rose, Čačak's Gold x Henderson and Henderson x Kecskemeter Rose. The apricot cultivars used as breeding parents have rather complex genotypes and as such affect the continuous variation of the studied heritable characters (time of full blooming, time of ripening, size and shape of fruit) in the apricot progeny.
