IDENTIFICATION OF WALNUT CULTIVARS WITH AFLP FINGERPRINTING

AFLP (Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism) markers were used to identify 5 Juglans regia L. cultivars. 28 specific bands were produced with 5 pairs of E+3/M+3 primers in this paper. According to the DNA fingerprints, the five cultivars can be discriminated successfully. DNA fingerprint techniques provided an effective tool for the identification of the cultivars.
