ANALYSIS OF 2-DE PROFILES OF FLORAL REVERSION BUD PROTEINS IN LONGAN

W. Chen, Q. Long, Q.X. Chen, S.Q. Zheng
Proteomic approaches were applied to compare the proteome changes between normal flowering buds and floral reversion buds in longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.). 18 differentially expressed proteins in floral reversion buds were detected by 2-DE. Among these proteins, 11 proteins were down-regulated and 7 proteins were up-regulated. Ten differentially expressed proteins were identified by LC-MS/MS and database searching, and the biological functions were analyzed. These included down-regulated expression of 4 Rubisco large subunit, putative anthocyanidin reductase, nucleoside diphosphate kinase I (NDK I) (NDP kinase I) (NDPK I) and fructose-bisphosphate aldolase-like protein; and up-regulated expression of L-ascorbate peroxidase, putative aspartic protease and inorganic diphosphatase/magnesium ion binding/pyrophosphatase in floral reversion buds. The mechanism of floral reversion buds was also discussed.
