HISTORICAL GARDEN AS CULTURAL IDENTITY MARK IN BUCHAREST URBAN LANDSCAPE - CASE STUDY: THE KISELEFF ROAD AND GARDEN
Nowadays, historical parks and gardens of Bucharest seem to be destined to an unfair neglecting, not only because of all changes produced in common mentality, but also because of economical interests which tend to monopolize every green centimetres.
The risk of these areas destruction could be estimated considering their multiple values: historical and architectural, social and ecological.
The present work try to give a new appreciation of today value of the old green sites and to recognize historical gardens as authentic cultural values and premises for the urban sustainable development.
