DUTCH MOUNTAINS - INTEGRATION OF ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE

We present several projects of the Mecanoo firm, spanning from public university spaces to office buildings and a performing art center. The common thread is the integration of architecture with the surrounding landscape, while the different contexts, the client’s needs and expectations and the project purposes contribute to the specificity of the creative task. Our awareness of the complex relation between humans and nature, and our commitment to respect both, is reflected in the innovative sustainable techniques implemented in our landscape and architectural designs.
