EFFECT OF GROWTH RETARDANTS ON PLANTS GROWN IN PEAT
In discussion about modern culture of pot plants growth retardants cannot be set aside. The use of these retardants is already essential in the production of several pot plant crops, such as chrysanthemums for example. By use peat for pot plants the growth retardants may become even more important, for in many cases the growth of pot plants in peat exceeds their growth in soil. Therefore at the Institute of Horticulture, University of Helsinki with research on growth retardants an empfasis has been paid on peat culture.
