FATTY ACID AND MINERAL CONTENTS OF KIWIFRUIT SEED AND PULPS

E. Duman, M.M. Özcan
The mineral contents of kiwifruit seed and pulp of fruit purchased from local markets in Turkey were established by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES). In addition, the fatty acid composition (palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids) of seed was determined. The oil, mineral content and fatty acid composition are reported. Kiwifruit are an important source of nutrients and essential elements.
