BIOLOGICAL AND POMOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF SOME RASPBERRY CULTIVARS
The biological and pomological peculiarities of the following red raspberry cultivars were studied in Armenia: Marlboro, Polka, Polana, Fertodi Zamatos and Ottawa. Ripening period, fruit size, fruit color, soluble solids content and resistance to the most important viruses and diseases were studied. Polka, Polana and Marlboro demonstrated high levels of resistance to diseases and pests, whilst Ottawa demonstrated low resistance. Fertodi Zamatos was well adapted, demonstrated high resistance to viruses and diseases; additionally, it has high fruit quality.
