THE MAIN DISEASES ON CHINESE PERSIMMON TREE

The persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) is native to China, with a long cultivation history and rich resource types. Persimmon trees in China grow from the north to the south because of their strong adaptability. The Chinese persimmon trees live in complex habitat, and the cultivation and management are relatively extensive, so diseases are quite common. The main diseases on Chinese persimmon trees include persimmon anthracnose, persimmon cercospora leaf spot, persimmon circular leaf spot, persimmon powdery mildew, persimmon madness and so on. This paper introduces the main diseases above mentioned, including pathogenic characteristics and symptoms, pathogen, epidemicity, and finally some integrated control strategy is discussed.
