First International Symposium on Moringa (2015)

For the first time under the aegis of the ISHS, the First International Symposium on Moringa was held from 15-18 November 2015 in Manila, Philippines. 

The symposium was jointly organized by ISHS, AVRDC - The World Vegetable Center, Central Philippine  University, Farm Systems International Organization and hosted by Moringaling Philippines Foundation, Inc. (MPFI). 

The symposium was attended by 180 participants from 42 countries who came to share their experiences, expertise and knowledge on a wide range of topics including botany and germplasm, production technology and agroecosystem, health and nutrition, industrial uses and cross commodity.  More than 70 talks were presented in five concurrent technical sessions and 10 poster presentations.  Some partners and sponsors displayed their products and services in tables and stands.  The plenary, technical and scientific sessions were held in two days under the theme:  "Moringa:  A Decade of Advances in Research and Development".
