[1] Dr. Margherita Beruto (Italy)

As Director of a public research institute, I supported floriculture growers and nurserymen, focusing on innovation and sustainable management. The role broadened my expertise in ornamental crops and strengthened my holistic, public–private network-building approach. Within ISHS, I served as Chair of the Working Group Quality Management in Plant Propagation (2011–2017), Vice-Chair of the ISHS Ornamental Plants Section (2014–2018), and Chair of the Division Ornamental Plants (2018–2026). I also convened symposia and served as editor for Acta Horticulturae and Associate Editor of the European Journal of Horticultural Science. I would be eager to serve again as Vice-Chair and support the Society’s strategy.
