Abstract
AVG inhibited ethylene production by flowers and fruits of Cox’s Orange Pippin apple.
It also inhibited ethylene production induced by GA but not that induced by NAA. AVG increased initial and final set, indicating that better control of cropping may be possible by application of ethylene inhibitors at flowering time.
