Abstract
Metham-sodium, a common fumigant, is widely used to control soil-borne pathogens.
The effect of metham-sodium on bacterial diseases in controlling soil-borne Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cepae was studied in onion grown for seed and irrigated with urban sewage.
In this experiment Fusarium oxysporum was replaced by Pseudomonas allicola and Pseudomonas spp. and the new disease incidence was highly correlated with the metham-sodium treatment.
