Abstract
A postharvest treatment with quaternary ammonium compounds was found to be effective in delaying wilting, thus prolonging Chrysanthemum vase life after dry storage.

It was found that postharvest treatment had to exceed 8 hours in order to be effective.
Increasing the concentration of the quaternary ammonium compounds only partially reduced the required length of treatment.
