Abstract
The experiment was conducted in the Sebha Agricultural Research Centre on three varieties of date palm tree (Sembelbel, Tallis and Adwi) by spraying with distilled water as control, Indole acetic acid (IAA 10 ppm), Gibberellic acid (GA3 10 ppm), 6-Furfurylamino purine plus Gibberellic acid (BA+GA3 10 ppm) and regular pollination.
The results indicated that, the treatment with growth regulators significantly increased the weight of the fruit, length of the fruit of the fruit and then the formation of seedless fruits.
The number of fruitset was also increased.
The varieties responded differently to each growth regulator.
