Abstract
Six species of seeds showed the highest percentage germination (>80%) including: hyssop, oregano, sage, clary sage, marjoram, and thyme.
Another six species of seeds obtained the high percentage of germination with a light treatment, gibberellic acid, storage at low or high humidity, and seeds newly harvested in the field.
These species include (with the effective treatment in parenthesis): apple mint (light germinator), sweet basil and summer savory (new seed), lavender (GA), lemon balm (new seeds stored in higher RH), catnip (new seeds stored in low RH).

Seeds of peppermint (light germinator), penny-royal mint (seeds stored in higher RH) exhibited germinations of 50–60%. Germination rate of rosemary seeds was not improved by the treatment of low temperature, light, and presoaking in conc.H2SO4 or 70% ethanol solution.
