P.S. Pereira, D.A. Dias, S.C. França, S.V. Sampaio
During chemical investigation for compounds possessing biological activity in the root bark of Tabernaemontana catharinensis, six alkaloids were isolated: 12-methoxy-4-methylvoachalotine, coronaridine, coronaridine hydroxyindolenine, voacangine hydroxyindolenine, heyneanine and vobasine. The structures were elucidated by 1H and 13C NMR and the combination of two NMR methods COSY and HMQC.
