M. Clavin, K. Lorenzen, A. Mayer, V. Martino, T. Anke
Twenty extracts from four Argentine medicinal Eupatorium species were assayed for cytotoxic, antimicrobial, and nematicidal activities as well as effects on the aggregation of bovine platelets.

Cytotoxic effects and inhibition of platelet aggregation were exhibited by some of the extracts of the four species tested.E. laevigatum showed antifungal activity against Mucor miehei and antibacterial activity against Bacillus brevis in the infusion and dichloromethane extract, respectively. The latter also exhibited significant cytotoxic activity.
