Abstract
It was established that within a habitat the total glycoside content of both above ground shoots /CV = 32.38 %, x = 543.2 mg/100 g/ and root-stocks /CV = 40.39 %, x = 224.4 mg/100 g/ of plant individuals is also greatly variable.
There is a medium close correlation between the glycoside content of above and underground plant parts /r = 0.69/. The frequency distribution of the total glycoside content of populations cannot be fitted to the curve of normal frequency distribution.
The heterogenity is brought about by individual variability.
Both generativity and phenological phase bear influence on the total glycoside content of plant individuals.
The gathering of root-stocks is uneconomical, while that of the above ground plant parts should be accomplished at the time of full flowering of the population.
