IN VITRO RESPONSE OF F1-PROGENIES FROM SELECTED GENOTYPES OF CYCLAMEN PERSICUM MILL. WITH DIFFERENT REGENERATION ABILITIES

High propagation rates of Cyclamen persicum via somatic embryogenesis are of interest for vegetative propagation of parental lines for F1-hybrids as well as for mass propagation of valuable single plants. As it is known for a wide range of plant species (Henry et al., 1994) the regeneration ability of cyclamen depends on the genotype and is assumed to be genetically controlled (Schwenkel et al., 1995). The aim of this study is to analyse the inheritance of the in vitro response.
